Since 1996, our training programs have shown over a thousand lawyers how to sharpen their advocacy and writing skills. We teach concrete writing techniques and a confident, modern style of writing that today's clients and judges appreciate and understand. We insist on plain English and sharp, clean papers that focus on fact and state their position up front. We encourage each lawyer to find his or her own voice and the techniques we suggest apply to all forms of written communication. Our workshops are proven tools for developing legal talent and consistently earn rave reviews. The American Bar Association just published our book. The Lawyer's Essential Guide to Writing: Proven Tools and Techniques covers all forms of written communication from a lowly e-mail, to a casual blog or newsletter, to a weighty appellate brief. The book is organized in a read-as-you-write framework and also includes a Usage and Punctuation Guide.
